Snake Alley Art Fair
A daylong celebration of creativity and community, centering on a love for the visual arts. This family event also entails art-making activities for children, live music, and the best food vendors.
Gour Art Workshop (Adult Level)
Make and take home your own gourd decorative ornament or art piece. This program will discuss the importance of gourds in Mississippian culture and the many uses for both practical and artistic.
$10 class fee with a limit of 6 people per class, one gourd per participant. Preregistration is REQUIRED. 2 sessions; 10AM and 2PM.
Bundle Bag Pouches Workshop
Learn about Native American bundle bags (pouches) and make a cloth one to take home. For ages 8 and up. Program free with Museum admission, limit of 6 people per class. Preregistration is recommended
Pottery Workshop – Program Free with Museum admission.
Creature your own clay pinch pot to take home, and learn about the Mississippian culture style of pottery. This is a great make and take class for families and friends to do together!
Limit of 8 people per class.
Weaving Work Shop (Adult Level. 15 and up)
Fee per person is $10. Class fee to be paid day of workshop.Receive instruction from an experienced weaver. Loom kit with yarn provided to make and take home your own creation.Limit of 6 participants.

Cornhusk Doll Workshop – Limited to 8 people per class. Pre Registration is recommended.
Native Americans and early pioneers made toys from cornshucks (husks). Make and take your own corn shuck doll. Not into dolls? That's okay! Make your own action figure – Corn Man and Corn Woman!
