Spend a night at the Fountain Hotel in Fountain City, Wisconsin. The city itself provides wonderful experiences, but an overnight at this hotel was just plain fun. Apparently every room has a theme. We had a vineyard room and a railroad room. Even the bathroom night lights matched the theme and the rooms were comfy, clean, and included very nice amenities…. Including wonderful handmade soaps. The doors opened with actual keys, not computer chips. A honest to goodness train rumbles by every few hours and the tracks are just a stone’s throw away from the front of this hotel. What a delightful experience for my road tripping girlfriends.
