An update on the Drive the Great River Road app

We have recently heard from many Great River Road fans with questions about the functionality of our Drive the Great River Road app. Unfortunately technology has surpassed the life of the app, developed nearly nine years ago, and we do not have the financial resources to rebuild at this time. It has been removed from the Apple app store and the Google Play store.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on funding from individual states and the generosity of our donors to fund our mission of preserving, promoting, and enhancing the scenic, historic, and recreational resources of the Great River Road and the Mississippi River region.

However, we are exploring new ways to share navigation information for the Great River Road, as we know that’s something many of our Great River Road travelers are interested in. We’re excited to move forward and create something that enhances the travel experience for everyone who drives the Great River Road.
